Amazon.com Review: Designed to fit around LitterMaid's self-cleaning litter boxes (or any litter box), this roomy tent provides tabby with privacy and can be set up as a den for play and sleep even without a litter box inside. It's made of waterproof vinyl and can be wiped out with a damp cloth or washed in warm, soapy water. Used around a litter box, the six-sided tent confines litter to the box and keeps it from being scattered around. It unzips all the way around to provide easy access for a litter box to be refilled or cleaned. The tent measures 29 inches long, 18-1/2 inches wide, and 16-3/4 inches high and assembles easily without tools (instructions included). --Fred Brack

First off, the concept is great. Honestly, this is great for the cats and containing the litter fling. Now the reality:
1) Is this really manufactured by Littermaid as well? I know it is, but can someone not take accurate measurements? Assembling the plastic rods was annoying enough, but for the joint connectors to be so dang brittle they snap? That was the first call to them asking for a free replacement.
2) We have the Littermaid Mega Elite pooper scooper. The dang thing ... Read More

The tent is incredibly big, I own a fairly small litter tray for my kitty, and well, it ocupies about a third of the tent itself.
It makes a fairly good job at keeping odors under control and keeping sand contained. Depending on your cat's sloppyness you'll have to clean it about once every week.
It has a very tall top, and putting it together is rather tough, you have to pull tightly for the top cover to fit with the zipper at the bottom cover. Besides that, it is worth the money ... Read More

I recently purchased a MEGA Elite Littermaid litter box with the Litterworks stand. I bought this tent thinking the tent would fit, but, alas, it did not. I own two other Littermaid boxes and have this tent on them. The newer one required some shortening of the tubes that make up the frame so the top and bottom would zip together properly. I do LIKE this tent when it is modified and used for the smaller Littermaid boxes.

This product, when assembled well, is great for the messy cat in your life. It contains litter, urine spray, feces, litter and odor effortlessly. I have purchased two of these tents and learned the hard way that it needs to be carefully assembled. My first tent, despite one broken rod, lasted many years and I threw out versus cleaning it again. For those who have had assembly issues, I can offer the following suggestions: a)carefully assembly rod frame applying pressure on both sides of the connector ... Read More

LitterMaid Cat Privacy Tent
I couldn't get the two tent pieces close enough together for zipping.
So I disassembled the poles, zipped the two pieces together, then reassembled the poles inside the zipped tent. I couldn't get every pole attached, but the tent is standing and I use it.
The tent flaps make it very difficult to empty the litter tray.
I used a pair of scissors to make some cuts in the tent opening to fix this problem. Much better.
