Shabba Ranks - Greatest Hits
If you love Reggae, as I do you will probably like this one. If you are a fan of Shabba Ranks, you'll love this one. It has most of his biggest hits included.

I was pretty disappointed that most of the songs on this CD are remixed "for new hotness" and are not the originals. The originals are generally better. The most atrocious remix is the "Twice My Age" track. The original is infinitely better.

Before there was Elephant Man and Beenie Man there was Shabbah Ranks. This Music takes me back to dancehall in the 80's.I remember Mr Loverman being released twice, it was already a big hit in the Caribbean when it got US recognition and and renewed air play. For new listeners to the dancehall genre, consider this your foundation course, for those listening for awhile its a collectors item.
My favourites on the album are Mr. Loverman, Twice My Age, and Gal yuh Good.
