I thought it was an average sized tennis ball with tail attached from the picture. It turned out to be a very very large over-sized tennis ball with an large tail as pictured.
My APBT loved it (and destroyed it) but it did last longer than most dog toys. Actually, although the tail and ball separated almost immediately, it was a good thing since it became two separate toys for my dog to play with and destroy.
