Editorial Review:
Product Description: The safe, effective way to stop excessive barking. When used according to instructions, the Innotek Free Spirit No-Bark Collar automatically detects barking and discourages it by delivering a brief, harmless electronic stimulation. Since it senses the vibrations produced by the dog's vocal cords, the No-Bark Collar is activated only by the bark of the dog that is wearing the collar. When your dog first barks, he receives a Level 1 stimulation. A two-second learning timeout follows, to give your dog a chance to associate the bark with the stimulation. If your dog barks again, he will receive a Level 2 stimulation, followed by another timeout. The Auto-Set design automatically increases the stimulation through as many as seven levels until your dog stops barking. The collar is designed to protect your dog from over-stimulation. If your dog stops barking after receiving a Level 4 stimulation, after a five minute bark-free period, the collar automatically sets the next stimulation back one level, in this case Level 3. At its next bark, the dog would receive a Level 3 stimulation, a warning level that it should recognize. The Auto-Set feature is fair to the dog. Should it stop barking at the warning level, it could soon wean itself down to the lowest level of stimulation. Your dog will soon learn that the best way to avoid stimulation is to stay quiet. Some dogs learn faster than others, so be patient.

I cannot believe how wonderful this collar works. I have not needed to use the shock button but 2 times. She stops whatever she is doing when she hears the negative tone which makes me feel better about the collar. I worry that some people may abuse any collar that does not give you the option to have a negative tone without the shock. I also use the positive tone to reward her and she is responding very well to hand signals now. This collar is keeping my precious pup from digging and jumping the ... Read More

This worked great on our medium sized dog. Would highly recommend for all dogs who bark when left outside. Wish my neighbor would get one for his little yappy dog.

I just purchased the collar for my doberman who has recently picked up the new hobby of constantly barking. My dog stopped barking on the first day! Worth every penny and my neighbors are smiling again.

I have two barkers. One old Basset and one young Dachshund. The little one fantom barks constantly and the other fallows. If I didn't get it under control we were going to make enemies of all our nice nieghbors. Our Basset is also old and cranky and for some reason hates old ladies in hats who always want to pet him on walks until he would lunge at them and bark. The bark on a basset is truely worse than a bite! I started with a noise dazzer and that worked well for a couple months but eventally lost ... Read More

Innotek BC-50B Free-Spirit Automatic No-Bark Dog Collar
I ordered a rechargable item, but it is not. Furthermore, the battery that came with it lasted less than a day.
