This scratching Post is great! It took a few days for my cat to take to it, but now she uses it all the time. It is also great for playing. I take a piece of string and dangle it over the top and my cat will run and jump on the scratching post and will climb all the way around it trying to get the string, and it has never wobbled. great for exercise and strengthening muscles. I would highly recommend it.

Best post we have used, strongly recommend. We have a very large cat who loves to stretch out, this post is much taller than others. Base is solid and large enough not to be pulled over when hanging from the top.
After a year of daily use it still looks great, well worth the initial investment.

Pet scratcher is great, but overpriced. You can find the same thing at your local pet shop for many dollars less!!! I responded to an ad that highlighted the price as much less than I was ultimately charged.

It's a great scratching post, my cat likes to scratch it and it's good for her claws, helps her stretch out, and it's nice and durable. Be wary of poor reviews for this item - it does what it needs to. If your cat doesn't like it, it's because of the unpredictable nature of cats. Every time you buy a cat product, you are gambling that the cat will not just give it the eternal-ignore :)

However, there are a few little problems that make them prefer the shorter, cheaper scratching post that we purchased at a local store--we had intended to use the little one only until the Ultimate one got here, but since the kittens prefer it, we're rethinking that plan.
My two kittens are too small (around 10 weeks old now) to jump onto the top of the Ultimate Scratching Post. Therefore, ... Read More
