I have 2 Yorkies (one is 4 lbs and the other a 1 lb puppy). This gate is absolutely PERFECT for them for these reasons:
(1) It is the perfect height... keeps them in the kitchen when I'm away (they're still not fully potty trained) and is low enough that it is easy for me to step over.
(2) When my friends watch them, this gate is easy to set up/take down and attaches to a variety of different widths of doorways, so my friends can use this gate with them too. Very versitile.

I purchased two of these gates for our Pomeranian puppy. They were easy to install, look nice and keep the puppy out of areas he doesn't need to go. Yes, they are only about 20-21 inches tall, but for a small dog, they do the job and we can step over them with ease.

Measure before you buy so you don't wind up like the reviewer that gave them a 2 star rating because of their height.
The quality of construction is solid. The wood matches our brazilian cherry perfectly.
Assembly was simple....just requires an allen wrench and a tape measure (to measure your opening).
Pressure fastening system works very well.

We purchased 4 of these gates from another seller - because we thought they were very pretty. After installing them we realized how tall they were! We kept them installed and carefully stepped over them but it wasn't a week and I fell over one...right on my backside!! That was it. They are pretty but not for short people.
