For $3.79, what can you expect? Ok, so it's not a climbing structure and it doesn't stand straight up... but it's a cat toy, not a sky scraper. My cats love this, and the bell is adjustable- you can slide it all the way up the spring for noisy play, or down the spring for night time play. If your cat plays with toys, I would definitely recommend this.

I bought this for my new 8-week old kitten who has a never ending supply of high octane energy! He loves it!!! He goes at it like a little prize fighter and drags it all around the house. He keeps at it until he's so exhausted he falls asleep on it! It's designed for entertainment, exercise and to develop coordination. I would highly recommend this for a kitten.

First swat-it fell over.
Second swat- it moved about a foot, then it fell over.
I tried wedging it under a chair....the spring came apart from the little bottom.
A little excercise for me, none for the cat.
Not much fun for anyone.

I bought this based on the only review, which was positive...my mistake.
I also had no idea of the size and weight, since there were no specs or pictures with a cat.
The problems are: 1) the size and, 2) the weight. The base is approx. 6 x 6 inches and the spring/bob thing is 10 inches but it sags to the side...not strong enough to stand straight. I had to spend like a dollar something to get free shipping, my cats love this and even my dog was playing with it so how can you go wrong?
