We recently purchased this product from Amazon. The instructions and training DVD were well put together and make it easy for anyone to install this invisible fence. Your two real options are to trench and bury the wire or to use yard staples to stable the wire to the ground. There's no doubt that trenching is the best method.

Details: I recently adopted a large dog who is very sweet, but also very headstrong. He had the habit of chasing and tackling people and would also to fail to obey when he had other ideas in mind. We started out with the other major brand of underground fence. It failed to work or contain our dogs. Within one week of use both of our large dogs were contained and safe with this system. The remote trainer has also been very handy for taking the dogs out and about. We had a small problem that required a new part covered by warranty and Innotek had it to us in 2 days. Great product and great customer service.

This is a great item. Make sure you follow the training steps for using the fence though (I thought my dog was smart enough to skip a few....I was wrong.) This product really is great. It is pretty simple and easy to use.
