I'm buying these for my friend, so I have not actually tested these out myself. However, my sister loved them, which is why I bought them. She did not have any problem with the trays breaking, as she ran water over the bottoms to thaw the food a little before removing. (I do agree though, that if something looks like an ice tray, it probably should be made a little sturdier for twisting, hence the missing star)
However, I wanted to mention that the trays come TWO per package. I ordered ... Read More

Awful, awful, awful. If I could give them zero stars, I would. The very first time I tried to remove food from one, it broke. I twisted it, as you do with ice cube trays, and it snapped right in two. I wasn't even twisting very hard. The plastic is just way too hard for this purpose. I went out to Bed, Bath and Beyond and bought some covered ice cube trays that have eight cubes all in a single row, and they're fantastic. They're much more flexible and take up half the room for the same number of cubes. ... Read More

I bought this because it claimed to have 2 oz in each serving (I read that somewhere and it also said that on the box when it arrived). I measured and it only has one ounce per cube! I vacuum pack the cubes the day after I freeze them so the lid does me no good. I will return this and keep my cheap ice cube trays to use instead. False advertising and a waste of my time.

With my first child I tried out the store bought baby food and she simply refused to eat it. When I asked my child care provider she asked me if I have tried the food myself and if I'd eat something like what I'm trying to feed her. I tried it and it was disgusting. I then decided to start making my own.
With this baby (2007) I decided that I'm not even going to try with the store bought food and started making my own. I'm using both the trays and the travel dish and they are great. The only ... Read More

I bought this item and I use regular ice cube trays as well. With both, I have to run hot water over the bottom of the trays for a few seconds before trying to pop out the frozen food, and then it's no problem getting the food out. I like using this tray with the smaller serving trays. The covers fit nice and snug and stack nicely in the freezer as opposed to using trays without covers which you have to wrap with plastic wrap and cannot stack. I highly recommend this item!!
