Editorial Review:
Product Description: Starter Set includes: three 5oz bottles with stage 1 nipples; two 9oz bottles with stage 2 nipples; three snack/formula containers; one bottle and nipple brush, and one newborn sized Soothie Pacifier. Soothies is a brand recognized by moms as trusted by hospitals, and we have used the same medical-grade silicone as the pacifiers. Home-use testing has shown us that 75% of moms were able to successfully transition baby from breast to the Soothie Bottle System, and all believed that it was because the bottle had the same shape and feel as the pacifier, making it easy for baby. 80% of moms reported that their baby took the bottle on the first or second try!
Amazon.com Product Reviews:
The First Years Soothie bottle uses the shape of the Soothie pacifier for familiarity when transitioning to the bottle. Using their stage one nipple for slow to medium flow and the stage two nipple for medium to fast flow, the bottles are perfect for babies getting comfortable with bottle feeding. The wide neck makes filling and cleaning a snap, and the contoured shape makes it easy for the baby to hold. The bottles work with all First Years breast pumps, and it is also nice that they do not contain polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or phthalates. The First Years Soothie bottle starter set includes three 5 ounce bottles and covers with stage one nipples, two 9 ounce bottles and covers with stage two nipples, three snap-on storage containers for extra formula and snacks, one bottle brush, and a Soothie infant pacifier. --Scott Teal

After my daughter was born, I was unable to get her to latch on. The hospital also gave her the pacifier in the nursery and she seemed to become overly attached to it. We started using the cheap nipples that the hospital gave us and she was spitting up very frequently, choking, and coughing alot. One day I decided to buy one of these bottles from walmart to try to decrease her "need" for the pacifier. Not only did she not need it as much but her feeding issues dropped dramatically! That night, I ... Read More

I was using gerber bottles until he started having a lot of problems eating from them for some reason. I tried these because they match his pacifiers and he has no prob sucking on those. I think it worked out very well he seems happier as am I. The little cups for the bottom are really a great idea it should come with more. They not only hook on the botton of the bottles but u can stick them all together and add a lid to the top and its a great snack holder.

My now 10 week old son refused to breast feed. Once I got over the rejection, I started looking for a better bottle than the disposable liner playtex as I had no intention of spending all my money on those stupid liners! At the same time, he was refusing every pacifier I could find. I knew he wanted one because all he wanted to do to calm himself down was suck on a finger, but after hours of wrinkly fingers, I was desperate for a pacifier. I came across the soothies and he instantly took the ... Read More

My kids have always used the Soothie pacifiers so I was excited to see they were coming out with bottles. I bought these for my 3rd child, I was impressed with the way they were made they seemed durable enough to last and didn't leak the few times we did get to use them. I never did use the little storage containers that came with them, not sure I would trust them too much as the lid just sort of sits inside it. Unfortunately my daughter had reflux and would scream & cry any time she was fed ... Read More

As a nursing mom who had to go back to work after 6 months, these were the ONLY bottles that my son would take. I spent a fortune on Advent and Dr. Brown's but when my girlfriend came to visit with her 3 month old, we tried at suggestion, the Soothie bottles. He's been bottle feeding without a problem ever since!!
