I had another monitor before this one that didn't work to well. I love this one. The sound is clear and I can take it anywhere in the house without a problem.

We use this as a monitor when we travel, so we can leave the other one set up. But we've used it quite a bit.
Overall it works well enough to keep it for occasional use, but I can't really recommend it, and definitely wouldn't have it as our everyday monitor.
Pros:
- The digital signal is static free, and private. The sound quality isn't great (sounds kind of processed), but good enough.

This monitor is annoying for all the reasons listed in other reviews (beeping, frequent signal loss, bright light at night), but also because there are only a few sound levels you can choose. I'd like to turn the volume down more (but not completely off), but the lowest level it allows is still too loud. We purchased it based on this recommendation and have not been dissappointed. We have taken it on trips around the country and it has NEVER lost the signal and we have had very little interference from other electronics. However, before we purchased it, we made sure that our other electronics (cordless phone, ... Read More

Not that I should complain about something I got for free, but this monitor is quite annoying. As mentioned by other reviewers, it makes loud, annoying feedback noises quite often, turns off to look for signal at least once a minute, and the night light is VERY bright and cannot be turned off. What I really don't like is how fast it goes through batteries. We had it on ONE night with batteries and they were dead by morning. That means, this item has to basically be plugged in at all times. So, going ... Read More
