Product Description: Designed to reduce drying time and soften fabrics without the use of chemical fabric softeners, Dryer Balls are an eco-friendly solution to landfill-clogging dryer sheets and chemical-laden liquid softeners. As your wet laundry tumbles in the dryer, these bumpy balls lift and separate fabric to make it soft and fluffy, and allow air to flow more efficiently -- proven to make ironing easier, decrease lint and reduce drying time up to 25% in independent testing. 4 1/2"L x 2 1/2"W x 4 1/2"D. China. There are two dryer balls per box and both are used at the same time.

I have the Gaiam brand dryer balls and they certainly help to dry my clothes much faster, and they are very quiet. (I was not aware that they were supposed to help with static - they don't). I tried tennis balls for a while, but they are loud and get stuck in sheets and towels as they spin around; the Gaiam balls don't. The only reason I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 is because one of them fell apart after fewer than 10 dry cycles. The other one looks exactly the same as when I purchased ... Read More

I liked the idea of doing something to lessen my abuse of the environment so I decided stopping using dryer sheets would be it. Not a big deal but you have to start soemwhere. The dryer balls fit the bill nicely. They sit in my dryer all the time. They definitely reduce the static but occasionally I do still have to peel some cotton items apart. They are not too noisy and overall I am very pleased with them.

I think the ultimate test will be the winter months and all the static it brings. SO far so good though. Soft clothes & very little noise (as I've seen other write here that they think they're noisy)

Results from the first load of clothes w/dryer balls -- Yessiree. Drying time was noticeably reduced (40-50 minutes instead of 60-80 minutes). The clothes were soft and static-free. I have used the "wonder" balls for about a month now, probably 12+ loads of wash, and all is well. So far, so good.

Dryer balls really fluff the laundry & I don't use dryer sheets any more. The clothes dry a little faster (saving energy) & I don't have to spend money on dryer sheets or fabric softener. I don't like the smell or "chemistry" of dryer sheets. I have a slight allergic reaction (breathing trouble) when sheets & pillow cases have been exposed to dryer sheets. No more. I use dryer balls. I had some cheaper dryer balls & they worked but wore out more quickly. I have just purchased this ... Read More
