My husband fixes grandfather clocks in homes and finally had it with dogs jumping on his beautifully scripted van, or bitten when entering a home, or just being a nuisance when trying to fix a clock. We have 2 wonderful dogs yet despite trying to train them they still went at the door like Kujo when the doorbell rang. They would also bark at the squirrels and the birds. We have had the police at our door numerous times. In desperation I bought the Dazer II. In less then 30 minutes they quit barking. The real test was when we had someone come over they had never met. It is pretty good, but does depend on the dog. It does not work on an English Bulldog, but works well on a mongrel howler next door. So you have to take your chance. It also works on a friend's wife, but I don't know what use that is!

I purchased this because of my neighbors dog constant barking. The main barker was a full bull mastiff. She was a puppy, about 11 months old and a good 110lbs and growing daily. She just barks for no reason and it's loud and very annoying. I spoke to the neighbor and they purchased a bark collar for her. It never worked and I always thought they just weren't doing it right.

This product works a little bit on my own dogs....however, it seems to work great for some dogs that friends own. As with some of the other reviews, you have a 50% chance of it working on your dog....each dog is different on how they will respond!
