I have run all 3 versions of Roller Coaster Tycoon and this last version takes all the problems and glitches that were in the first release. It also has combined the two expansion packs (Wild and Soaked) onto the same disc so all games are installed at the same time.

I am a fan of the RC series from its inception, back in my high school days, with Chris Taylor eye-bleeding Roller Coaster Tycoon (those 2d textures really killed your sight). The newest (and possibly final, pending legal resolution) entry has now been packaged together with its two expansion packs - Soaked and Wild, into one pre-patched Platinum edition. This game is great for all ages. The controls area little hard to figure out at first, but once you get the hang of it, they are really easy to use. It is really exciting to get to ride your own coasters, and having the new "autocomplete" is great when you can't finish the coaster yourself, or if you get impatient. My 10 year old loves it as well.

It's annoying and frustrating to keep deleting the errors I make with going back and forth the trash can to delete sections of the coasters. I end up deleting the entire coaster and starting over.
On a positive note, the game does have some great graphics and it's really kewl that you can ride the coasters after you create them. I'm not a roller coaster ... Read More
