This collar stretches ALL OVER, not just at the buckle. Premier Twice as Nice Kitty Collar Deep Purple These are FAR SUPERIOR to the collars with just two strings of elastic at the buckle. This means that is easily expands no matter where on the collar it is caught and the cat or kitten has plenty of room to slip out. This collar has worked well so far. My cat is an escape artist when it comes to collars but she hasn't lost this one yet. She has scratched it a bit so it is looking a little ragged, but they warn you about that and give you instructions on how to prevent it. I just chose not to worry about it.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase.
