I recently received this guitar and planned to give it to my daughter for her 5th birthday. I spent hours scouring the internet trying to find the appropriate size guitar and one that would balance quality and affordability. This one seemed to fit the bill, but upon inspection I became immediately disappointed.
The guitar I received was much darker than pictured, and while this may not seem a huge deal, it certainly is when your 5 yr old girl sees a mauve guitar instead of a pink one. ... Read More

My 7-year old daughter saved her money to purchase this guitar. She hasn't put it down since we received it. The pink color is actually a shade darker. It's a beautiful mauve. The guitar sounds great and the DVD is really helpful. We are very satisfied with this purchase.

My daughter is 6 and has been taking lessons using this guitar. It si perfect for beginning lessons and the size is smaller so it is easy for her to use. It came with a case - which is really important, since kids seem to be a bit careless with their stuff sometimes.

I bought this guitar for my 5-year-old daughter after returning a defective First Act Discovery FG157. This difference between the FG157 and this SX SG15 is like night and day. The FG157 arrived unplayable due to a broken neck. The SX guitar, on the other hand, arrived double-boxed and in mint condition. (Even the strings has protective wrapping over them.) This was a present for my 7 yr old daughter's birthday. She LOVES it!!! She has not put it down since it came in. My husband has been a guitar player for over 20 years and he even said this guitar was great for the $$. The size is perfect for little hands and I can even play it a little. The sound is a little high pitched but this is due to the size of the instrument.
