When I ordered these steps I was a little worried that it wouldn't be sturdy enough or that since the steps weren't completely covered in cloth that it may be a little slippery for my jack russell terrier. I didn't want to have to pay well over a hundred dollars for one of those solid wood ones, and as it turned out I didn't have to. This thing is perfect for what I (and my dog) need. We have a Dachshund with tiny legs and these stairs are great! The stairs are placed beneath a bow window with a wide ledge. The Dachshund easily runs up the stairs and right onto the window ledge. I am happy with this purchase and so is "Tootsie."

I bought these from a local pet store for my 8 week old beagle puppy. She learned very quickly how to use them. They are perfect for her now but I am not sure how great they'll be when she is bigger. But if you have high bed these are the way to go. I wouldn't purchase these for a large dog that is a senior as they would probably be to narrow. I would say great for dogs 30 pounds and under.

My vet told me that my dachshund was experiencing back strain and needed some life-style changes and recommended getting some pet steps. After doing research on many different brands, these pet steps were the most attractive and tall enough for my queen sized bed.
He was unsertain about using the steps at first and was kind of unstead on them in the begining. After one afternoon of training (with lunch meat as reinforcemnt), he learned how to go up and down them with no issues.
