Our dog is doing great on the Advantix Flea, even though he is outside a lot he has not gotten fleas.

We've used Advantix on our two dogs (one large, one small) for several years now. We have not had any problems; our dogs have not had any bad reactions. We live in an area that is hot and muggy part of the year, and we used to have a bad flea problem before we started using Advantix. I believe the comments of the people who have written in reporting trouble with this product, but I just wanted to say that our dogs have not experienced those problems.

Two hours after using this product on our sweet little bichon he started screaming. His skin turned bright red and was swollen. We washed him, but the next day he continued to shriek every time he moved. Two days later his back was covered with thick scabs. He was burned. My dog (Cairn Terrier mix) had terrible side effects from this medication. Not only did he scratch his back to the point where it bled, but he acted completely bizarre for approximately 6 days -- my dad called him the LSD dog. He was jumpy and paranoid and just seemed miserable and haunted.
