I was having problems with my cats ingesting the clay based litters and was looking for an alternative. I spent months and months trying different cat litters before settling on World's Best Cat Litter. Yes, there can be issues with odor control, but that is only a problem if your cat is the type that doesn't bury their business. This cat litter sounded a great product to put in the litter box. However, our dogs ate it like it was corn flakes, which I guess it is, in a way. We would fill the litter box, and within a few hours, the dogs ate all the litter! We don't have a place to keep the litter box where our dogs can't get to it, so we had to switch back to clay litter. We still give it 5 stars for being environmentally friendly and a great alternative to clay litter.

First, let me state that I don't smell any difference between this standard variety of World's Best litter and the "extra strength" one. They add some kind of plant protein to the "extra strength" one, but both litters are very lacking in odor control. Either that, or my cat takes extremely smelly poops.

Just the fact that it's flushable would, for me, outweigh any other negative factors. I would put up with some smell, some dust, tracking etc just for the convenience. Fortunately, I don't have to put up with those things - as long as I practice some general litter box maintenance on a regular schedule. I experimented with how long I could go without completely emptying out the boxes to clean (I use Clever Cat top-entry boxes) and it's about 2 months. Have been very pleased with product. Switched because of problems
inhaling so much dust from other litters I tried. No problems with this, and it clumps fine for pick up. Did the switchover gradually and the cats didn't object to the change.
