I'm hamster sitting for a friend, and they have a couple of these dens. I think they're great. It's a syrian hamster, and it doesn't seem even close to being able to open it... maybe the other reviewer has a real hulk of a hamster, though.
One caveat, though: open the den with care. The way it opens, the lid actually intersects with the entrance tube. So, if you're an absent-minded sort, be careful not to hurt your hamster with the lid, and only let children use the cage under supervision. ... Read More

I acquired this as an add on to my ovo system. My Dwarf Robo's hamsters love it. I like that the tray is able to slide out while sealing the tube behind it. It locks firmly and the ventilation holes are also a great feature. I highly recommend.

I own the OVO Pad with the adventure pack, and this den came in the adventure pack. I absolutely love the whole setup, except my hamster was able to escape from this den. The latch that it uses to close isn't that great, and a strong (or determined) enough hamster can possibly get out. I removed the den from my setup, though I'll probably put it back on once I've secured the lid with duct tape so it can't open at all.
