We've been giving this to our dogs since... forever and, as far as I know, they never had a heartworm problem.
I believe that we are saving quite a bit of money by going with this brand. As far as the fancier, meat-flavored varieties... I can't see why one would pay a premium money for it. All we do is we crush the pill and mix it inside a meatball or something else that's delicious and the dogs eat them and keep asking for more.

I ordered this for my dog (after researching the brand beforehand). It seems to work just as well as the name brands, and my dog had no reactions to changing brands. The only difference that I can tell is that these are not meat flavored treats like some of the more expensive products on the market. Otherwise though, it is a great value & shipping time was reasonable. And I will probably order it again in another 6 months or so.
