I have several Canon products including many generations of compact cameras, SLR cameras (film and digital) and camcorders and always buy the Canon branded accompanied case or holder.
With a lot of Canon history, this is by far the cheapest last minute thought out camera case made with the Canon badge on it. Bought this case along with the HF11 just before a trip to Maui. The first day there I was on the beach for video of the grandkids with the empty case hanging from my neck. I sat down and the bottom of the case touched the sand. End of case. The bottom of this case is sturdy enough, but it has "slits" along two sides and the sand easily entered the interior which has a velvety lining.
