This was a Christmas present that has been disappointing. We have yet to locate a spot in or around our home where we get a signal strong enough to have consistent updated weather conditions. It appears the unit needs to have improved technology to pull the information from the satellite. We will be returning this product and will look for another.

This weather station is horrible. Reception took two days to receive (new batteries) and once received it still doesn't receive updates unless placed outside the house. My advice is save your money and watch your local news!

I ordered this item which came quickly. Intended as a present, it was opened Xmas day. I installed the batteries and waited. And waited. And waited. There was no reception, despite my living in Toledo, OH, a city of 300,000.

I'm suprised that Brookstone sells this in their stores in the DC area. I would not recommend buying this in the DC area - and certainly not as a gift for someone in another location - who knows if they can get a signal. If you do buy it, ... Read More

OK, 'iPod of weather' is over-doing it, but I love this gadget and recommend it whole-heartedly. I own one, and my wife and I find it so useful we've gifted to family. Like the iPod, it makes one facet of life better in a simple, direct, elegant way: I glance at it 2-3 times daily, and know in a glance what to expect weather-wise, without wires, monthly fees or the need to turn on TV/PC.
How accurate is it? I would say reasonably and usefully accurate. Perfect if you want to know what ... Read More
