We got *seven* extensions for this and put a fence across our den, marking off a one-hundred-square-foot area for the lil'guy to crawl around in. I was worried that the length would make it insecure, but it doesn't: Just be sure not to have the fence completely straight; use the nifty connection corners to alternate turns, using either angles back and forth or a serpentine pattern. Then hang stuff like toys, instruments, and mobiles from it. Our lil'guy loves it! :)

I bought this gate to replace the wooden one I had. Wow, was this what I should have bought in the first place. It took no time to put up, I even had my kids "trying" to help. I have 3 kids which are 1, 2, and 5. My 5 yr old figured out how to open the gate on his own but still sturgles once and a while with not having enough stregnth in his hand to do it. But my younger two have no idea how to open it, the old wooden gate my 2 yr old could open. And if my 2 yr old couldn't open it on her own she would just kick it until it the hinges finally poped out of the gate and broke it. I did fix the wooden gate many times and then all 3 of the kids broke it for good. Before I bought this gate I was having a hard time finding a gate big enough and strudy enough to fit my 6 foot opening into the play room. I bought this gate at BabiesRUs.com and even with out being able to look at it up close before I bought it, I am thrilled I did and it is worth every penny I spent on it. The bonus to this gate is that it looks good too! The old wooden one was so bulky and this one looks smooth and like it is ment to be in any home.

I have to agree that this is well worth the money if you have a large door area, especially with high traffic. I actually got this gate as a hand me down with two extension panels. I was able to instal it myself in an hour or so, and it was very easy (I have had less luck with other brands). It is attractive, sturdy, and easy to use. It is expensive, but is worth it!

I love this gate! I cannot stress enough how wonderful this gate is, and it's worth every penny! We had purchased the Safe and Secure gate, because it fit our opening and was $80 cheaper than the Configure Gate, it was such junk that we ended up returning it and spending the extra $$ for the configure gate. It is easy to install, and easy to open and close. This is the best gate out there!

My son figured out how to push the top of this gate open by the time he was 14 months old. If your toddler is not mechanically inclined it will be a great gate, it is easy to take down and put back up. However, I now have to get a new gate and I have only had this one 6 months. I have the pressure gate as well. and to this day I have never used the latch mechanism. he hasn't figured out to simply lift the gate. PLEASE think about your childs mechanical intuitiveness before choosing this gate.
