We purchased this to use at the top of our stairs because it screws to the wall. My husband assembled it with no problems. It's easy to open/close while holding a baby.
The plexi-glass did get quite dirty and was difficult to keep clean.

I LOVE this gate I am however on my sixth one after my 4th child and running a daycare, because the children swing on it. Even as durable as it is MY husband insists on adjusting it too tightly which causes the handle to break off and then the gate is useless. The bonus is if you send the handle into the manufacturer, they will replace the gate. THis gate is by far (after instructions to all the adults, who say DUH) the BEst! IT is the most functional, asthetically pleasing and user friendly gate i have EVER had. I LOVE it and wouldn't be caught without one!

We bought this gate when we moved into our new house. I have a 4 year old, 1 year old, and a new puppy. This gate is used for keeping the kids and puppy from going downstairs (we live in a bi-level home), and it works great. The 4 year old has not even attempted to see if he can open it, and the 1 year old cannot even reach the latch to open it anyway. Its nice with the clear window to be able to see who is behind it before you open it, or see that you don't catch a finger. Its very very sturdy, and so far have had no problems with the gate. I'm actually ordering more for other areas of the house, mainly the kitchen.

We love this gate. I originally purchased it for a opening that it didn't fit. Before I could return it, I used it and feel in love with it!! Our daughter loves to look through the gate and watch us. I think it doesn't make her feel as trapped at some of the other ones. It's also very easy to keep clean and sanitary. You just wipe it down. Unlike those gates that have the crate style. We didn't install it but the ease of use works fine for us. It is one-handed put-up and take-down. I just set it into place and the once you push down on the handle the gate expands to ensure a snug (very snug!) and secure fit.

Installing this product was quite easy and has proven to be a great choice! The gate is durable and very easy to use!
