It went together very easily and it works wonderfully. I love that it came in white.

The gates were really what I needed for my pet. One was defective and had to be returned.

I should have read the reviews here more thoroughly. This gate suffers from a very poor design which borders on being unsafe. The gate works OK as long as it is aligned PERFECTLY - but look at the thing wrong and its knocked out of alignment and then won't shut right. The top section when tightened completely does not allow the door to open at all (even by adults), so you have to loosen it to allow the door to open - and when you get to the point the door is loose enough to open it is also loose enough to be shoved over.
The door is supposed to be self-closing, but again only if it is aligned PERFECTLY - and since this door slams shut and is messed with by kids all the time this is never the case.
The only real "lock" is at the bottom of the gate - the top is simply held shut by a tiny piece of plastic that actually doesn't seem to do anything.
I would return this thing except it is opened and setup and we don't have the box anymore.
The positive reviews here all seem to be by dog owners. If you have kids that you care about, stay away from this thing.

I have two of these gates - used to keep dogs in or out of certain areas. They are fabulous under normal circumstances. However, if a squirrel is spied, all bets are off for the gate staying in the door frame! The gate is flattened, the dogs are off and mom gets to pick up the gate and redo the normally good tension bolts. I really do love them and that is why I bought two of them. I do think they would work better if I had poodles, or chihuahuas - who would not jump them at the slightest squirrel sound, or push them down at the first inkling of squirrel in a neighbour's tree. (Of course the little dears, (squirrels, not dogs) know they are not welcome in our garden, so they stay just out of reach to simply tease the dogs.) If I keep the squirrels really quiet (sure... easy to do!!), the gates are wonderful in keeping my Ridgebacks out of trouble. I am glad I have them and I have since had several dog friends (with better trained dogs) buy them too. Great product!

I liked this door alot. The only minor problem was that my 5 year old had trouble opening it for awhile. I wopuld like to purchase anther one in the near future.
