Totally great! Easy installation, very very nice quality. Very good price for what you get. Keeps my two boxers from rushing to the front door to greet the guests. Especially for the two three year old grandkids that don't really like the kisses from the Boxers.

We love this gate! It is tall, attractive and very secure. Installation was moderately easy. We attached a mini bungie cord to keep it open when the baby is asleep. It really does latch behind you. We feel much more secure knowing our Grandson can't climb over this one... or pull it down on top of him!

I purchased this gate for my undersized 2 year old daughter. The gate appears to be sturdy and, while not as easy as I had hoped to install, it did appear to stay in place. My daughter climbed over it immediately. It held up as she straddled the vertical bars and used tension to push herself up, but it was entirely too easy for her to climb. Other issues that may be of concern are the locking mechanism and bar at the base of the gate. The bar is easy to trip over if you set the gate up in a high-traffic area. The locking mechanism may be easy for a toddler to open if the tension on the gate isn't high enough, but too much tension and it's a pain for anyone to open. On the plus side, it is the only gate that I've found thus far that can fit into a 28" opening.

We bought this extra tall gate for the doorway to our daughters bedroom. We have two major problems with this:
(A). If we tighten the sides enough then the gate won't close smoothly and if we loosen the sides enough that the gate closes smoothly then she can easily knock it down.
(B). My daughter learned right away that if she pushes in the latch with her finger it will get stuck and my wife won't be able to close the gate until I get home, take it apart and release the latch.

We tried a few other baby gates prior to this one. This baby gate is so far the best. It is solid. The twins are leaning on it, trying to climb on it and yet it has not moved at all from its mounted places. It is very easy to assemble as well. We had to pay an additional $15 for another extension but was worthed.
