I had a problem with my dog and two cats climbing on off-limit areas. The cats took to doing their business on my sofa and loveseat. No more of that with this product. It takes 4 AAA batteries. I've had this thing for over a month and have yet to change the battery.
Please note: The refills are not worth the price. I can remove the top to a cheap can of air freshener spray, place this device on the can, and it not only scares the cats and dog away, it provides a burst of fragrant air.

Hi,
This is a marvelous product, and entertaining, too! I have had a years-long problem with my indoor cats peeing in inappropriate places, and had tried everything to break them of it.
Well, the day the Ssscat arrived, I set it up on top of the microwave oven in my kitchen (a frequent target), and went off to bed. Before I'd even had a chance to doze off... "Crash", "Bang", and the sound of a cat shifting from impulse to warp drive.
When I went out to see what had happened, I was met with venomous glares, a Ssscat canister which had been knocked out of position, and a CLEAN microwave oven.
I LOVE this product, and the neat thing is... if you order it with the six spare canisters, you can set the canisters on other potential targets, and the kitties will avoid those, too! Thank you Ssscat :-)

I bought this product to deter my cats from getting into my houseplants. I have plush carpet and it constantly tips over. It wasn't very effective and the costs involved to replace the spray can can be expensive. Bought it, used it for a short time, and never have replaced the spray can. Waste of time!

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! Its the only thing that kept my cat away from urinating on the cedar walls!

Even though I thought this product was kind of pricey I was desperate to keep my cat off the kitchen counters. It took just a couple of days to break the cat from his bad habits so I guess it was worth the money I invested. The cat defintely hates the sound of the canned air hissing and will run away anytime he hears it. Once the cat stopped jumping on my counters, I turned the unit off but left it within the cat's line of sight so he continues to stay away from the counters. I plan on moving the unit to other areas in the house that he needs to learn to keep away from.
