I was looking for a extra wide gate for my 85 pound 9 month puppy to keep him out of the kitchen when I stumbled on this. Its fabulous! I had purchased other wooden gates that he crashed right through with no problem. This gate is tension mounted so there are no screws, no holes in the walls and no hassles putting it up. I love the fact that it is adjustable so it fit my room opening of 60 inches. Its also a nice looking gate compared to the white plactic ones or the standard wooden gates. I give this gate 5 stars, I also give Amazon.com 5 stars for super super FAST delivery, low prices....and free shipping!

This gate works very well. It doesn't damage the doorway or paint. I would highly recommend this gate for anyone with pets or children.

We've owned this gate for over 2 years. We originally bought it because I had a daycare in our home and we had a toddler boy of our own. We were trying to prepare our house to sell and needed the rest of the house to stay neat at all times. This gate was perfect! It did not require any hardware to install, it didn't mark up the walls, which we had freshly painted, and it came down quickly when we had a call for a showing.
We've since moved and have had another baby. The gate is holding up beautifully and since it's adjustable we can use it in our new house. I even plan to buy another one to use in another large opening in our home.

I bought two of these baby gates after a recommendation from a friend.
I love them! They are so easy to use, soft for small children and adjustable to fit almost any space. Much better than the standard plastic gates!! We will also be buying the bigger one to fit across our large kitchen entrance (6ft.ish).

I have used a lot of gates with my 3 children and dog. This one is a complete pain to use. I realize it's not for "heavy traffic" areas, but even setting it up the first time is a major endeavor -if not an impossible one: my wife, a normal person, just not as powerful wrists as mine, cannot rotate the slippery, stiff, too-small-to-grip ring on the end that is required to extend these. Here's the picture: rotate a stiff ring *slightly* to extend the poles into the wall *a bunch* -the power ratio is totally off. Design should have been: rotate a lot, easily, to extend slowly, powerfully. Then there are two of these to do: top and bottom. I wear my wrist out every time!
