Highly recommend, only downer is it will peel paint off the bottom of the wall. But it's great and you can easily fix the peeled paint. I'd buy again.

This gate is exactly what we were looking for. This gate fits extra wide openings. However, you should be aware that you will have to step over this gate to move from one room to the other.

I purchased this gate to fit a wide space, which it does well for the price (~$30). I prefer the other gates I have used (metal, tension mounted, with a door in the gate), but for wide spaces, the metal type is expensive.
On the plus side, it says it fits openings up to 60" and I used it for a 61" doorway and have not had any problems. My very active 16 month old can't budge it. Price is also a plus.
On the negative side, the gate has a natural twist to it, due to it's construction, and has shifted a little on its own (It is no longer straight up and down on both sides). However, it is still firmly in place, and does the job. Also a negative, there is no door in it, but it is easy to step over, even for my wife who is 5'1".

We wanted this gate to divide a narrow play area space and it works great. It actually ended up being a couple inches to short so my husband bought two white door stoppers (the kind that protect your wall from door handles leaving marks) and those added the additional length we needed.

This gate was easy to assemble and use. We needed it for a large & uneven staircase opening & it worked perfectly.
