I use this diaper pail in my garage to store dog waste. It does just what it's supposed to do - keeps the smell in. Easy to use - I use regular grocery store plastic bags in here and they work fine. Good value.

We needed something to put the used kitty litter in so we wouldn't have to go outside to the trash can all the time. This works great. We use the little Sassy bags for diapers, scoop up the litter, and then put the bag in this pail. I put a car deodorizer in the space provided for an air freshener and that works great too. I would give it 5 stars except that the foot pedal doesn't always work though it is easy to lift the lid without it.

I have a 9 month old daughter and from she was born, I've changed more clothes on her than I care to count. For that reason, this pail is way too small. I had to wash every 2 days (no kidding)! It works and there isn't any other problems with it besides it's small capacity. For moms, I would recommend getting a regular adult size basket, it holds more and won't have you constantly at a washing machine (as if you'd have time!!)

The same item, must be, is sold by Target and has a host of good ratings. It is sold as: Safety 1st Simple Step Diaper Pail. This one is sold by Amazon, which I prefer and I get free shipping. Probably will arrive faster, too. I don't have a child and want to use this for doggy poop bags. Can't beat the price.
