Okay, i bought this for my 1year old, she loved the sounds and thats really the only reason she liked it. But after a few months of being played with by my toddler, the sound went out. but other than that it has held up. BUT its very easy to open and if your child is playful like mine. its hard to keep it in one peice bc of the simple "take apart" design.

It leaks (my son pees on the funnel and pee runs down the inside of the potty), it is hard to clean, and I have trouble getting the seat back on straight. If you child will use another potty, or better yet one of those seats that fits over the toilet, go with something else.
However, this potty got my train-obsessed three-year-old son to FINALLY use the potty. We tried the musical potty chair, the Dora cushioned potty seat, and a couple of other options, but nothing worked like the train potty. The music and train sounds when he pushes on the funnel still make him happy (you can switch it from English to Spanish to a mix of both languages). We tried to take the train potty away once he seemed well trained, but after too many accidents we have given in and returned it to the place of honor. I hate it, but he loves it so much...

This is the best potty chair ever! My son is obsessed with trains and now with the Choo Choo Trainer. We have had it for a week and have not had even one accident. He can't wait to have to go to the bathroom again so he can use his new Choo Choo Trainer. Thank you Kolcraft for finally developing something that actually motivates toddlers to potty train.
