This product is a great "comb" to use for a dog that sheds. It totally eliminates shedding on our lab when used about every 4 or 5 days. It is extrememly easy to use and she loves it. It does not break the hair off, does not damage her skin and was much less expensive on Amazon than at Petsmart. I would highly recommend it to anyone with a pet that sheds!

Heard a lot of rave reviews about the Furminator so I ordered one since I had just gotten two pups. The breeder also recommended this particle product. She then told me after it was too late to cancel my order that the product actually CUTS the hair. The metal between the teeth is very sharp - so beware! I feel she is correct; it does cut the hair, but some of the hair coming out is from shedding. Because of the sharpness, I would not recommend this product.

This tool gets a good bunch of fur off my 20 pound, medium-coated dog every week. There's been a noticeable reduction in dog hair around the house. Most importantly, my dogs love it! I thought if would be painful but I tried it on my skin and it's really not, and they sit quietly for the nice scratching they get. On the other hand, the Furminator did nothing for my short haired dog. Still looking for a good brush for that.

I have a medium and use it on my 40 lb dog and 2 cats. It certainly removes a lot of hair. However it is very sharp and sometimes pulls at my dogs long hair. She doesn't like it much. But it does the job.

I highly recommend the fuminator. I have 2 black labs and boy does it clean out the undercoating. Leaves them so shiny and less itchy too!
