Breeze litter box is good for urine. Really does control smell and it's great to not have to scoop and carry heavy litter ... but if your cat(s)
ever poop in it beware! Especially if you are not there to immediately scoop it out. Otherwise when you come home the smell almost knocks you
over as soon as you open the door. Just one cat, a small kitten, routinely uses this box and causes the odor. And if the stool is the least bit soft it smears all over the green plastic and the pellets. It's impossible to remove all the smears from the pellets short of dumping the entire box (because the cat tries to bury it and just ends up getting poop everywhere)and scrubing it, so the odor lingers. If only I could train them to only urinate in this box, it would be terrific... Bottomline, I just really regret spending the moneyto try this. Back to scoopable litter for me, my house smells much better when I come home.

I love this product! I was never one to try an automated system because of the noise etc for my cat, i was always afraid they wouldnt use it. But I bought this sytem, sit my cat in it and she went potty as soon as she sit down! She loves it, no more messy wet litter, no more litter tracked all over the floor and the smell is gone! If you do as instructed you wont regret buying this. It is everybit worth the 30 some dollars for it!

MY SIX WK OLD KITTEN AND ONE YEAR OLD TOOK TO THE BOX SYSTEM LIKE A DUCK TO WATER. NO TRACKING WHATSOEVER AND NO SMELL. I LIKED IT SO WELL I GOT A SECOND SYSTEM TO ROTATE IN AND OUT. I SANITIZE MINE IN THE SUN. ABOUT ONCE A MONTH I CLEAN IT WITH A PET FRIENDLY CLEANING WIPES. THE PEE PADS FIT IN THE TRAY PERFECTLY, NO OVERLAY, NO UNDERLAY, TOTALLY COVERS THE DRIP TRAY CORNER TO CORNER WITH PERFECT DESIGN! THE THREE OF US HAVE A CLEAN, SANITARY AND SMELL GOOD BATHROOM. I CALL MINE THE CAT CONTAINMENT CENTER (CCC) THERE FOOD, WATER, BEDS AND MAGIC BREEZE BOX ARE ALL IN ONE ROOM AND THEY KNOW THAT IS THE CENTER. IF I NEED TO LEAVE HOME FOR A BIT OR HAVE A TIME OUT THEY ALL KNOW THE CCC IS "THEIR" RM AND HOME. IM EXPERIMENTING BY SANITIZING THE PELLETS IN THE HOT SUMMER SUN AND RE-USE THEM. SO FAR NO PROBLEMS WITH ODOR OR BACTERIA COUNT. $SAVE ON PELLETS, LANDFILL AND BIODEGRADEABLE. PLEASE ONLY FLUSH THE PELLETS IF YOU USE THE TOILET, SAVE OUR LTD WATER AND EARTH. THANK YOU.

I got this yesterday and so far it looks good, I've been using silica litter but even the cheap stuff is not that cheap and is fairly dusty, so I've been looking for an alternative and this seems to be it. The silica works great for drying up odors until it gets pee saturated. I sprinkled at little of the old wet litter on the breeze litter and the cats used it right away. The pee does drain through and the pads are good, they've used it quite a few times and the pad still feels dry. I'm actually hoping they DON'T poop in it and continue to use the silica for that, then I'll have the best of both worlds, the poop will dry and the pee will be able to be gotten rid of so the expensive silica will last longer.
After a week, still on the first pad and haven't noticed any odor problems. Have 3 cats and left the silica so they are using both but they are using the breeze a lot. Adding crystals or enzyme spray to the pad might stretch it's life out even longer. They've pooped in the breeze too and I haven't noticed a smell but lots of pellets glue tight so I'm losing quite a few each time. I'm used to the silica, which is much cleaner than clay or clumping and I haven't noticed any increased odor with the breeze.
Changed the pad on the 8th day because, well really how far do you want to push it, and no sign of trouble. It was HEAVY with no sign of leakage or deterioration (I didn't really try to stress test it, but it came out of the tray and into the bag with no problem).

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! The box says that the pads last "up to a week" which they would if you did not let your cat drink any water! They might last four days, then the smell of urine starts drifting from the box. I only bought this as an "extra" box for my cat when I have to leave him for a few days by himself, and thought that this would provide him with a cleaner box for that time. It does if it is only urine, because once solid waste is in the box, he will not use it. And he will not use it after four days because of the smell of pee. The pads are gross, and WAY overpriced. Not at all the convience that it is advertised as.
